Jaicko Lawrence is a Barbadian singer/songwriter/producer. Once a secular pop artist, Jaicko was highly sought after by the industry’s top executives. Major labels lined up to sign this creative IP, which ultimately landed him at Capitol. As a priority artist for Capitol Records, Jaicko featured and released multiple records that garnered him platinum streaming records. His standout record, “Oh Yeah,” went platinum, inspiring the label to record a remix that featured Snoop Dogg.
After the success of his single “Oh Yeah” the industry started to take note that Jaicko was more than just a face and voice, that his was also a gifted songwriter & producer. He would write for and with popular artists like J-Hope, NCT 127, Akon, Benny Benassi & Jay Sean, to name a few. One of his early successfully written hit records was “Holiday” by DJ Antoine feat Akon, which reached the top 10 on iTunes charts and became a certified gold record. But there would be one record that would change his life.
Jaicko would write and feature on a song with M-22 titled “Good To Be Loved.” In the song Jaicko speaks to his decision to give his life to God. The record would provide his Damascus experience, and really set him on a different, but anointed and Spirit led path. Although unintentional the record would have major success in the dance arena and now has over 20 million streams. Jaicko’s new birth and commitment to God led him to leave secular music & writing and focus on ministering for God, which would not only lead to making music but also ministering.
